when i first saw the Cinnabon scenes, I got the impression that they took place quite far in the future (years)

However, as more details came together, I'm not sure he's been there very long. And if Gene has been working at Cinnabon for 5 months or less, than that means Walt is still alive during the S5E1 Gene scene.

I’m really starting to think those Cinnabon scenes are prior to BB. I’m rewatching BB too and when Saul gets introduced and kidnapped he thinks Lalo is the one who sent his kidnappers, but it’s actually Jesse and Walt.
Now we know Jimmy is using an alias and is afraid to get made which sets us up for believing it’s post BB, but I have a feeling there’s going to be a plot twist where when he says “I’m going to fix it myself” it’s related to Lalo.

when you say "prior to BB" you mean before the end of BB, as stated in post 12 ?

critics who got tonight's episode early have been posting some pretty outlandish praise for it. My expectation are unrealistically high at this point.

well, it was a let-down for me. This will probably be remembered as BCS' version of the Breaking Bad's "fly" episode

i can definitely understand why this experience would be hugely transformative for Saul. It was traumatic. But overall, the episode felt lacking in substance. The fact that it leaves all the major questions completely hanging makes it very unsatisfying. This episode lacked meat.

My main beef with the entire series is that I saw BB, so I know which characters are basically immortal, which then sucks all the tension out of it. Like last episode, I knew nothing is gonna happen to Saul, because Saul lives in BB.

Pretty entertaining show still.

Yea. I get that Saul is the main character so they aren't going to do a bottle episode without him. But if it had been Saul+Nacho or Saul+Kim in the desert, the tension would have been much higher.

There also a lot of other terrible things that could happen to you..

I was still on the edge of my seat, it was very tense ep

There one thing that annoyed me, unless I missed something

Lalo said that he can find someone else for the job, like it's no.problem but he chose to pay Saul 100k to do it...unless he had other plans for Saul it didnt make sense to me. Also trusting a guy he only meet few times with 7 mil...like wtf ? Dont seem wise at all
