Hi, I’m in cegep in Quebec which would be the equivalent of 13th grade in US I guess. I have a final science projet to do for the rest of the semester and I pick chemestry as I’m looking forward to go into pharmaceutical synthesis in university.

You guys have some ideas/suggestions that would be fun yet not to complicated to do?

Right now I am thinking of either the synthesis of Ibuprofen / pABA / lidocaine or benzocaine.

Lidocaine is pretty fun because you get actual crystals at the end if you do it right.

first thing i would do is learn how to spell chemistry

easy one is everclear and water... 1 gallon of water mixed with 1 gallon of everclear leads to 1.6 total gallons...

also, if you want to do pharmaceutical synthesis, i would do chemical engineering, or find a good good organic chemistry school

Theres not really such a thing as a good organic chemistry school. He should find a good organic synthesis lab to research in. Every school will teach the same thing in organic chemistry. Its a highly standardized curriculum
