Have a loads of tokens To respec and try different things. Cutrently testing 20 skel, 20 Master, some points In amplify dmg. Then 20 bone spirit little synergies. Then some points In mages as Well have 1 point In golems and golem mastery.
Probably not the most optimal build but having fun and being able To clear hell with ease. Gear wise I am running the recommended items with at least decent rolls. About 2 k dmg with spirit and it does deal decent dmg To foes.

Running some Pb skillers with life and summon skillers with life 4 and 3 To be exact. Works Well for now and have no issues but I Will probably respec many times over.

The problem with mages is that they don't do significant damage and will freeze some corpses so you can't CE.

It's a good guide to give you an idea but there's a few things wrong. You will die to archers in pits get max block with humun ist and points into bone armor synergies instead of points in the random curses(unless you do ubers). Fortitude is better than treachery for getting the first kill to allow CE to pop off. Shako ist and war travs.

From what I’ve heard going bone is pointless and imo it takes the idea of a summoner out. Just max summons, your curse and CE

I do this, more or less. Spare points I put in to Golem Mastery (IG less likely to die) and Bone Armour synergies. Regarding the golem, regardless of budget I tend to run Insight for QoL (spamming maxed Corpse Explosion gobbles mana).

Bone Spear/Spirit will do negligible damage unless specialised in, at which point the build is no longer a summoner :) The same goes for the poison skills.

Mages are pretty useless. Crap damage, kinda useless for hiding behind, and yeah cold damage on a summoner: big no-no.
