So I tricked it into going into auto configuration and it fixed itself lol

false alarm but something else i just noticed is that it doesnt recognize the edge of my screen if i drag something until it hits my mouse. i dont remember this being something that has happened before

have you ensured you have all of the latest drivers for your hardware? I have used "driver booster" by iObit for years.. keeps all of your drivers as up to date as their release / whql verification. the free version will update most drivers, but not all gaming components (typically leaves 6-10 to try and make you pay for the pro version which isnt needed in most cases)

look in gpu software for scaling
play with that

how is your monitor connected hdmi?

I toggle it on and off and eventually it fills the screen. Kinda glitch it. Connected via vga cable
