So i just got an Acer SB270 bbix

and if i run it in 1920x1080, the screen doesnt fill the monitor.

I have to run it on 1680x1050 to fill the screen, which defeats the purpose of having this large, 1080p monitor.

Thoughts? Is it just limitations because of my apu? running this build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2Sp1d

Looks like this, with roughly a 1/4 inch of each gap is bezel. top to bottom is fine, side to side not so much

ah the thin bezel lie.
Basically, all thin bezels have that black bar, but on the upside their marketing worked and you bought it.

ah ok so that's due to aspect ratio issue, top images just look like the thin bezel scam.

There's a few reasons this can happen, when i dealt with this years ago I fixed it by forcing a custom driver or in the display settings.
Just google it can't think off the top of my head the exact instructions.

ya, display settings are zero help. and google is a bunch of stupid "go select full screen from settings" or "change your resolution" lol.

I just have to find the proper way to word the google search to find the answer.

thank you tho for giving me hope lol

so i think i figured out part of the problem at least

im not sure its identifying it correctly

says its sb270 but then says its crt (not led) and analog

wonder why that is

i mean, i've connected my TV before and it correctly identified it and adjusted accordingly
