Look at Path of exile one of the biggest and best ARPG ever made and almost zero pvp
Its all about the loot and shinys
I think it’s just because the devs don’t know how to balance pvp. Keep the itemization/interaction with the skills simple like d2. Don’t want crit, cooldowns, skills on gems, x buff for y duration when doing z.
