drafting is a great way to learn the game while acquiring cards for your decks. Find a local store that runs draft for fnm, Its tough at first but a whole lot of fun. And you get to play with crappy cards.

Yeah we been buying the 10$ premade decks and then a box of 120 cards, 100 lands, and like 4 packs. Was on sale for 20 usually 40, but I’m starting to notice the different strategies.

So far I’ve tried a black and red deck, both destroying creatures and hands then having a bunch of haste monsters to chuck away at the life. Now I built a blue and green deck, countering and drawing cards while constantly pulling out mana to get to 8 mana quick to pull out strong monsters with trample. This has so far been my favorite.

Thanks tho guys, really haven’t made it into the formats yet but we’re learning cards and strategies and it’s been really fun.

I play with real inked paper. Welcome to the club. I will be happy to help you out with cookie cutters for whatever format you are willing to play. PM me and I can tell you the different stuff you can do at the store to improve your gameplay. If you are starting check and see if they are holding a league. That's a good way to start out.
