I have always been curious about these guys.

Can someone tell me the purpose of these mercs and why they are good. Also what char does actually benefit from them?

They suck, but you can stack auras on them if you want.. only time I ever used one was in a leech fighter role as wind druid and have it use lawbringer

even in that case, a5 merc would be better xD

i agree, think i went lawbringer, dream, dream, dragon or something and it still sucked

a3 merc is good for cs necro for crowd control.
