I have always been so scared of getting keylogged since it happened a few times when I was growing up. Lost many d2 accounts and FG too.

tired of living in fear

is there at least a way to protect my jsp account and my fg

thanks!

Bitdefender has a very high successrate at detecting keyloggers,

There's also an app called Spyshelter, it monitors your programs for keyloggers, it's definitely one of the best available.

but in reallity, as long as you download applications from safe sources you should be fine.

- dont log into websites or accounts using a device you dont have any control over
(example: at friends home, work, university, restaurant..)
- dont install software which isnt from a reputable source
- know exactly what kind of services and apps are running on your computer
- do security updates on your computer and related apps (antivirus)
- change your passwords regularly
- dont use USB sticks

as for browser security, i would recommend you using protected mode browsing where
browser plugins or scripts are disabled.

if you cannot follow some points mentioned above / by other users, you should buy a new computer
which will respect as many security aspects as possible, and which will only be used for things you fear losing.. things that are extremely important to you.
and you will be using these things only on that computer.

finally, i would recommend you voting on this site suggestion by ^Nevada : https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=81846732&f=258
which is about adding a two-factor authentication to this site (or a multi-factor, if you will) :)

being key-logged is a very specific way to lose passwords. although, it is a common one usually obtained via phishing.

that's basically what it is. a key-logger requires "you" to open the gateway. (99% of the time)
it's really one of the most preventable "hacks", in most cases.

unfortunately, there are numerous other ways to lose passwords to people.

Besides all the normal safety precautions you should be taking I know a lot of people have a file with some password on their computer and they just copy/paste them so they don't actually type it. Seems a bit tedious. Especially when you could just be careful and not download/install trash on your computer.

but yeah
