I'm not sure what you mean people secretly play. As in everyone still plays bnet in secret? I think all the recent complaints about how dead it is suggests not so many are on bnet.

Can't speak on people playing secret single player. Although I agree it's safe to say most of us play single player walkthroughs at least once in a while.
