Anyone have had issues with plantar fasciitis?

Been suffering from this for years now.

It first happened when I was running in a new pair of running shoes and my heel 'snapped'. Literally heard a snap sound and thought someone kicked me at the back of my foot while running.
Few seconds later, the whole of my left foot turned numb and it hurts so bad when walking

Fast forward a few years after countless of doc visits/physio, it still hurts. Not as painful as when it happened but still sore after constant walking/standing.

Just wanted to see if anyone have had success in recovering from this if any.

I cured myself of what a doc diagnosed as plantar's fasciitis
These two things were key:
1) do lots of calf stretches and hold static calf raises on the edge of a step at the top and bottom of the motion
2) roll all your weight on a tennis ball against the sole of your foot

Much thanks. Been doing this with hopes to recover. Also, do you feel that your ankles felt weaker when you were diagnosed with plantar?

The debut of your problems doesnt sound like a typical planta fasciitis. Subtalar joint issue?
Anyway look up the windlass mechanism. Basicly the planta fascia is connected to the big toe and akillestendon. For example if you dont have good big toe extension it would affect the planta fascia etc etc

Edit: its very hard to give diagnosis online and all advice should be taken light on..

i know online is not the best place to seek medical advice but i have gone to docs, took jabs, undergo mri etc but nth seemed to help so might as well try elsewhere to boost my chances of recovery.

but winddlass machanism is something new! will look it up. appreciate it!

Can you post a picture and mark exactly where it does Hurt and when? In rest? Activity? Directly? After a while?
What did The MRI say?
What type of treatment and/or exercises have you tried and with What result?
