I was so happy that I found HCCL, the last Diablo 2 paradise where you can play legit fun game and still appear on the ladder, where people help each other and play to truly experience the game, not to be the first somewhere or make profit.
But, the worst thing happened recently...

In just 4 days, the marked characters on my second screenshot achieved impossible amounts of exp from nothing.
None of these characters were ever seen in any public game. Few days back, these characters didn't even exist.
It's almost impossible for human to exp 3+ characters on classic to such levels, maybe only if his whole family or group of friends were playing together day and night (which is why I put 99% not 100%)

Several of people I know from the top of HCCL already stopped playing because of that and I believe more will follow :/

I don't understand it, what could be the possible reasons for a person to bot on HCCL?

1) Money - doesn't make sense, since he will have almost no one to sell to, because his boting demotivates most ppl from playing on HCCL

2) Boosting ego - also doesn't make sense, since how can he be proud of something he didn't even do with his own hands...

3) Just ruining other people's legit efforts - in that case he is succesful in that, but a very broken human being

I am even willing to go so far as offering 5k FG to this person, if he stops this nonsense and deletes the botted characters.

P.S.: Is there any way to officially flag him or fight this? I suppose not since the situation on LoD, but...

I've seen it before, expanders have some classic bot chars for doing whatever shit they do but you will never see them in game or see any items sold in jsp

I thought so, many people on jsp pointing on him recently.

I think he is also trying to make some FG out of it, since he is active on the trading forum, I hope people realize who he is and won't support that.
And to him, maybe it's time to realize that when he does the boting, he repels most of the active people (who could potentially trade with him) and ends up alone in the particular realm, making it even more pointless.

and as i already said many many times : ppl boting should not bot in chaos runs, they would not get mass exp and they would not ruin the ladder and KEEP their buyers ...

but hey ! they may be more clever than us if they know why they doing this
