I've been using Duolingo and that's gotten me enough that I could pass as a tourist but I'd like to be able to hold full conversations.. I find its a little harder to retain the words than I thought it would be any tips or tricks?

The secret is using it. Using it again and again. Play videogames in spanish, see movies in spanish, watch videos in spanish... But first you must have some basics, spanish verbs are hard. A lot harder than english ones.

I do that however with the minimal Spanish I do know I for sure can tell you watching netflix Spanish shows with English subtitles they don't ever seem to be translated correctly lol I listen to a lot of Latin music as well just don't feel like I'm grasping it as well as I could be
