I might be a minority here but I watched the trailer for diablo 4 and once again it looks like a D3 all over again.

More the same POE/Bright graphics. more of the weird GUI that looks nothing like Diablo 2.

There is just no similarities to Diablo franchise for me. It looks like its a copy of POE or at best Diablo 3.

What I would have preferred is a very similar GUI to Diablo 2 and the art direction to be a lot darker.
There needs to be a light radius like Diablo 2 has. Where you cannot see much around you until you get a higher light radius skill


The reason for this is that the world should be cloaked in shadows/evil and that you are having a hard time seeing due to it, and most of the game should be taking place at night time.
longer nights due to lilliths return.


What do you think, am I wrong or right.
Maybe I've missed something here or you have some better ideas, open to discussion.

personally i wasn't complaining about the GUI of d3. but more of the gameplay such as pvp and trading etc. but having a GUI like d2 will be a bonus for me i guess

I think it has to be the total package to be a success

Basically they need to have a good trading as you say, good pvp
but it also has to be a fun game which is re-playable like diablo 2

the model has to be something that people can actually get hooked on otherwise the game will be a flop like D3 was.

the model D2 uses has stood the test of time and I dont know why blizzard keeps wanting to re-invent the wheel.

they dont need to necessarily remaster diablo 2, as they need to just keep all the best elements from it.
im not opposed to a new story, new levels and everything, but the art style, the characters , the game play and trading, pvp and whatnot should be staying the same.

won't be any trading

pvp will be shit

and greater rifts will be the endgame

the trading restriction already has me not interested

You guys will not get a copy & paste feature related to anything D2 in the upcoming games, so stop asking for it. You guys will at best get a D2 remaster to waste money on doing the same thing over again you already do every ladder, which would also be pointless.

And honestly, just stop caring.... It doesn't matter, and you should no longer be concerned with anything blizzard is doing. You just have too many better options out there.
