if its your first time it can be overwhelming. dont feel pressured into saying yes at the first car you see. it can be easy to do and it is a lot to take in at first. especially when you are desperate for transportation. do a lot of reading and research about the type of cars you are looking at. consider maintenance, how long will the car last, and whats the worst possible outcome for this type of vehicle? consider the length of the loan and what could happen between now and then because a car that doesnt run is as good a paperweight as anything else. especially if the title is held hostage by the lender and you owe more than its worth- this can make reselling a problem.

I was with a friend one time stopped at a stop sign, and all og a sudden a Fedex truck hits us from the back.

Long story short, the guy's manager ended up meeting us in person and paying up $1200 cash to avoid insurance.

my car just got totaled on dec. 30th. going straight down a road and a guy tboned the front on my car. he was leaving a bar and didnt even attempt to stop at the intersection (i have right of way) and he hit the front of my car and put me in a ditch. he was trying to turn left and hit me. he claimed he was looking at his gps.

/e 1200 bucks for a FedEx truck hitting you in the rear?!?!? If you have insurance or not, someone hitting you in the rear is ALWAYS their fault... and on top was a big company, dude you missed a few zeros on that check

/e2: were you stoned or something, dafaq you didn’t require an ambulance to drive you to the hospital cause of any slight pain, tens of thousands... I dream of something like this happening, I drive a stick shift and frequently down shift without brakes if someone’s riding my ass...

The trucks are privately owned by each driver. guessing the insurance payout wouldn't of been that large. just to pay damages...

does not matter how safe you think you can drive. i was stopped and got hit by someone doing 45-50mph rammed me into the car that was also stopped in front of me.
accidents happen, and its worth paying a little more for. not necessarily on a old car like the one i lost here.. the car wasnt worth shit, bought it back for $300 and did a partout.
but something worth a good bit should be fully insured anyways
