Looking to make some upgrades on my PC and not sure as to whats the best bang for my buck.
Mainly Gaming and 3D Rendering.


Currently:
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7500 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Board: h270-Gaming 3
2x8gb Ram
GTX 1050TI

Bang for buck is relative. You can get good bang for buck with $2k...

If you're willing to buy used you can get some HUGE gains for low cost.

A gtx 1070/ would be the best cost per frame card around. and a big upgrade from the 1050 TI, I see them selling on eBay for around 200-250 depending on the model.



If you have some money left over.
You could probably find a i7 7700 (Non K) for around $170, the extra 400 MHz and 4 extra threads can make a big difference for both gaming and productivity.

Technically you can fit up to a 7700K on that board but you can't OC it on the h270 chipset and it doesn't come with a cooler, I wouldn't trust the Stock i5 cooler you're running now to keep that cool.


Keep In mind you would probably get back around $80 for your 1050 ti and 80 for the i5 assuming you sell without the cooler.
