I got a driver for cmas which is nice. I read online that i should just get a 7 iron and develop my swing.

Where do i go to buy a good 7 iron used? Online or should i go to stores and try it out?

Or any other recommendations?

Start with an 8-iron. It's versatile enough to practice chipping (bump and runs) and your swing. I'd check Facebook marketplace or craigslist for a cheap, name brand club. You can probably pick one up for around $10 or less

for first clubs just get anything standard loft standard lie

golf is bloody expensive if you get latest gear so unless your serious id just buy 2nd hand shit and then get current gear if you get hooked. then you can git fit for clubs.

google rockbottomgolf or globalgolf for really good 2nd hand golf pricing.

Honestly just go buy one of the oversize sets from any manufacturer until you feel you're starting to get your swing down a bit.

I bought a whole set of Wilson clubs on amazonfor like 100$ last year with a bag

I'm a beginner so I dont need good clubs. Be sure you get a bag that has the kickstand thing tho

No need expensive clubs if your a beginner bc if u only go a few times then never play golf again at least your only out 100$

Got my first set for $10 at yard sale including bag. Had a driver, 5 wood and 3-Pw irons.

If you're just starting out grab the cheapest set possible until you can somewhat consistently hit the ball.

If you decide you like the game enough after a couple years with cheap junk by something newer.
