This is a really fucked up movie. And by fucked up, I mean really good. It’s hard for me to feel sorry for the main character. He is completely pathetic and delusional. It’s like it he had it coming. Adam Sandler is absolutely ridiculous. I’d dare say that this on par with Joker. It’s probably Sandler’s best performance. I couldn’t stop watching it.

high hopes after the trailer

Adam Sandler - I cringe every time I see this name. Ugh. Nty.

trailer made it look like another humdrum excuse to flash wealth, crime, violence and sex in front of the camera to appeal the lowest common denominator

but the critics reactions made it sound like there is something special to it

It looked amazing to me. I've heard nothing but great things and I can't wait to watch it.

The trailer made me think of a slow moving train wreck. Sandman is clearly a terrible person, who makes one bad decision after another. It should be interesting watching it unfold, but I'll be avoiding this thread until I've seen the movie as to dodge potential spoilers.

Turns out to be one of the very VERY rare cases where I walked out on a movie because it was so damn bad. Wtf.

It sucked.
