so i recently get a wrx STI. I want to keep it looking nice and now that winter is upon us the roads are beyond salted and the car has a bunch of salt on it. It is driving me nuts.

how long does it take for salt on the car to actually do damage? should i just wash it once a week?

i would make sure to wash it really well and then apply some sort of undercoating/hydrophobic something on it and from there id wash it weely

Can you recommend an undercoat and hyrdophobic? Is it as easy as literally just applying it?

Go into a automatic touchless carwash they have the option to wash under the car

Do this once per week or two and youll never see rust

Did this with my CTSV when I lived in KC and still ended up with rust. Not to say it won’t work, I just didn’t get lucky. Or gm steel is trash.
