ok so I'm pretty sure by trying to fix one problem I may have added another

my 5700xt is either broken or the drivers are super wonky or Idk because just moving my mouse after I was idle and pc was sleeping made my computer not recognize my graphics for a couple seconds and go completely black then everything went back to normal but I had like four radeon softwares open then three of then quickly closed

could this be a pci-e slot problem? when I removed my old 1070ti I noticed some dust build up and by dust I mean a good layer of thick dust that could not be sprayed off with compressed air and it was even covering the cmos battery, I cleaned it as best as I could with air and isopropyl/coffee filters but maybe some was still inside?

also no it's dual channel memory

and while typing this with nothing open but this site my fans randomly ramped up to 1500+ rmp even though no RPM mode is enabled and my gpu isn't doing anything. :S

think it's time to return this wonky card, still not sure why I would be having stutters with my old card though. very frustrating

5700xt is pretty new on the market right? yea could be driver issues, i dont think its because of dust or pcie slot... yea return it and stick to geforce imo..

if u get stutters when approaching other players in online multiplayer its usually network related, if u have any ping spikes or packet loss that would explain it

sure if ur teammate is from another region... but im talking about random queue, last time i played random squad my teammate was from south africa which is far from where i live..

since the game is less populated now some people cant get games in their own region so they get dumped into eu servers..

if people cant get a game, they will complain and the game will slowly die, pubg dont want that so ofc servers is gonna merch at some point or game modes removed... remember its a 100 player lobby u need to fill

""but the last couple of times i played i did notice lag spikes sometimes when approaching other players,""

that's VERY different then what you said above.

Make sure your XMP profile is actually set to 3000

I once forgot to turn it one and my ram ran at default DDR 4 speed which is like 2133 Mhz with terrible timings and I got some bad stutter. Turning XMP on fixed me right up.

In vid cards... Nvidia is always the smart move.

yep lesson learned.

on a side note I'm running IGPU atm, is it suppose to make your cpu run much warmer?

I'm usually barely in the 60s for gaming even all cranked up and AAA games, now with IGPU Its right in the mids 70s in CSGO low resolution/settings and I know igpu is mainly for daily use but I just wanted to see if it was playable which it is but just much warmer.

Well yeah. If using the CPU and it's IGP, the temps will be higher.

Not to worry though, the 8700K has plenty of leeway in the temps. If you start passing 80-85C, I'd start to get worried then. :)

so stutter is still there, I think it's RMA time because I just get a headache now when try to figure out wtf is going on

on superposition my 2070 super is getting worse score then regular 2070 on stock settings, power limit isn't doing anything and no matter how high I crank this card it never goes above 65c and even hitting that is hard

you guys think its possible I shocked or somehow ruined my pcie? I just assume that would make it so I couldn't use it at all not the problems I'm having

but I mean my brothers having no problems using my old gigabyte 1070TI his PC, so something has to be up :S
