mdr isn't really needed though, especially not in chaos. and if you absolutely want that mdr, get soe, not dwarf.
and no, a decent stack of mdr/pdr won't safe you from huge dmg spikes and these spikes should be the only source of dmg that could end your life. mdr/pdr is nice against normal attacks from white mobs or uniques without dangerous affixes.
it's fun to not even see your life bubble go down with stacked pdr/mdr when monsters only deal 70-100 dmg/attack. but when you encounter fana/amp/extra strong/fast archers/moonies/dolls that deal like 800+ dmg/attack that pdr will do nothing. you need % dam red in those situations.
snakes at nila are an exception because of the way they deal dmg when moving in their poison clouds.

so again... don't focus too much on defense on your equip. going down from 125 fcr to 75 is a bad idea. using hoz instead of spirit is a bad idea. get that def from your merc. delirium or dream that procs confuse is far better defense than you could ever get on your own items. having both holy freeze and defiance aura (defiance merc wearing doom) is huge bonus as well.

Stack life, res and dr. You would want to build for max res under conviction aura and a good amount of DR when under amp damage. Wizzy/coa/stormshield is a viable build for P8 and it would be laughable if you think you can argue this. For a budget build you could get a vgaze instead. It's not the best build, definetly not needed but it's still a good build and what you asked for, your hp will never drop.

read my post #27 again carefully. it stated that out. if you are doing nila runs just switch some items to pdr ones and you are fine. where is the problem?
