They're born out of Harlem and alongside other black identity / nationalist / supremacy movements like the Black Panthers, Nation of Islam, Moorish Temple, etc. All the far-left BIE groups are just different flavors of the same thing, they hate cops, they hate jews, they hate white people. Black Hebrew Israelites are particularly nutty compared to the rest because its their belief that the real jews were black and mainstream jews are imposters and devils- that's what their cult believes. And we're not talking the beliefs of one random unabomber, its maybe 40-80,000+, mostly on the east coast and around NYC but also around black majority cities.
