i swapped out andy's for deli on my sorc's merc awhile and I loved it

those curses prevent way more damage to my merc than that amount of life he would have gained by leeching with the andy's. it's a net positive for survivability

Infinity is useless on blizz. Your cold mastery should already set the max percentage. Insight ok but you should have already decent mana reg.
What you want is that your mercy kill the cold immune for you and supports on bosses. Therefore you need a real damage setup. I also not recommend prayer or holy freeze on your merc.

I use an eth tombreaver with 3 Sox (ber,Lo, 40/15) together with a cham‘ed andys and eth forti in sacred armor on an offensive merc (might aura)
With that setup you reach the fastest ias breakpoint that makes sense for that merc. It’s a real killer.

coh/delirum/insight or infy is best safety for most GG builds. Hammerdin/any sorc/Java/trapper etc. Once you try it out there is no way back to the common ''treache(forty)/andys/gulimans etc'' scam merc builds that have been around for 20years as ''best''

no one has outright said this build is bad even with the amount the hate this guys brings in on a daily basis...

The topic asks for recommendations about the best use of a merc for blizz sorc. Not about the cheapest.
I tried out a lot builts and I come to that conclusion.
At best you stop flaming people for their personal opinions Mr. 20% warn.
