After this years pathetic christmas ladder, with prices dropping faster than world trade center building 7, i thought what can we do to change it.

As of right now blizzard has stated that they wont use any resources to combat botters which feels really dissapointing.


My idea is for blizzard to swap their current ladder reset cycle from chistmas / summer to autum / spring, and keep them exacly as they are now & add a brand new 3rd exclusive ladder for the christmas holidays every year.
This exclusive ladder would have the following:

Ladder bound cd key (would require a brand new exclusive (39.99€ - key) <- price open for discussion.
- You would need a new key every christmas.
- With this cashflow maybe blizz could set aside abit to combat botters.
- Price tag would most likely scare away botters, atleast massbotters.


What do you guys think, feel free to add your thoughts to this idea!

Yeah, then the only people spending that much money on a 20 year old game are the botters themselves because they're still going to make a killing.

How about if the exclusive ladder was patched to knock out all bots at the begining aswell?

They should just close down bnet. Not even worth keeping it up anymore.
The servers are ancient. Most people only play the first month of reset.
They then realize this game is old as dirt and the graphics are hideous.
Its a square monitor game haha.

the issue is devs no longer support the platform that d2 was built on. they would have to dedicate resources to go through the source code and spend a fuckload of time figuring out how everything works BEFORE even beginning to update and test code.

Blizzard will never do it. the game is dead until they do a remaster. and even a remaster, they would have to build from scratch.

it's been a good long haul, but the game is fucking dead.

just play a better game and dont pre order 4

bnet is beyond saving. Blizz should just learn from everything that has transpired and make a new game that is actually good.
