so it's basically 'Stranger Things the movie' wrapped in a Ghostbusters suit to reel in the fans of that brand as well. So it's an attempt to cash in on the success of both successful products at once. The role of the science teacher looks to be expanded into something that more closely matches the the original vision of for Mr. Clark was in ST.
The interesting part, I guess, is:
Quote
Jason Reitman, the son of original “Ghostbusters” director Ivan Reitman, directs the sequel to “Ghostbusters 2” which appears to ignore the 2016 female-led reboot.
I can't help but love that quote. But until now, I have no reason to think that this sequel will be anything different than the typical crap Hollwywood spews out to capitalize on their classic brands.
On the other hand, I do like ST, so I should probably be more open-minded about a theatrical version.
