Bit of a noob as far as this one goes. I'll post some pics that hopefully make sense. I'm using psu: corsair cx650m and gpu: radeon rx580 xfx

The gpu has one 8pin connector on it.

Pcie cord that came with the GPU has 2x 6+2 on one side of the cord and an 8 pin with what looks like a ground on the other side.

The little cord pictured is the adapter that came with the gpu

One pic is with the adapter plugged into the pcie cord and I've read that isn't recommended unless you really need to. I can post pics of all the cords that came with psu if needed.

Help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

So uhhh.. I have gamed a bit with the daisy chain haha. Any idea the negative impact that might have? I'm going to undo it, just wondering if I need to buy a new gpu now or not haha. The light on gpu was blue at least.

Yes let it hang. Try and tie it off or hide it however you can

Don’t daisy chain.

No real downside but its also redundant.
