Melted - My GM 49 MLD Fissure Druid

Trophy worthy, probably not.
Love it or hate it, he's pretty fun.
I'm on East NL if anyone wants to get together for some MLD.

_____

Max Damage:
5336-5576 Fissure with Shadow Shell Pelt
4578-5496 Armageddon - no points invested
Grizzly Meat Shield - no points invested
-70 Enemy Fire Resists
+70% Fire Skill Damage

5946-6214 Fissure with Gale Hood pelt - No Armageddon or Grizzly
-70 Enemy Fire Resists
+70% Fire Skill Damage

Spirit/Gerkes Defensive Swap capable of:
99 FHR
46 FCR
75% Block
15-30 Life replen
16 DR
18 MDR
8 Magic Absorb
1.3k Life with Oak / Life GC's
4.4k Fissure -25/+25

I found myself using Gerkes with -30/+30 Crowbill together the most. The JKSOD paired with Crowbill is absolute overkill, and not really necessary.
Swap around according to opponents gear/skill level of course.

Yes, I know I could achieve much higher life ditching the Gerke's but it's been doing me quite well. High str req even with a -15 in it, but it just offers so much and opens up other options!

The green pelt is nice and I like the build. I had a lvl 49 fissure Druid in like 2007-08ish, but it was just pure fissure. Mld sucks now though. It used to be as popular as 30s, but now with the comparative inactivity it’s not worth the investment for most.

Glad you like it, and I hear you on that. Hoping to wake up some sleeping MLD players for some playtime B)

He kinda needs gerkes with that abysmal life haha. My lvl 30 fissure with 150 frw had more life than that.

Does seem a fun build it 1200 life is like 1 crit arrow from a lvl 49 zon lol. Hopefully the gerkes can help a bit but yeah I’d probably be looking for a way to raise life up.

That’s pretty much the only reason I hate mld, in general the life:dmg ratio is not ideal. Most things can get smacked super quick but 1200 life is just even lower than low. Didn’t really notice the life the first time just noticed the nice helm (I like it for pvm though, not PvP), and the non cookie cutter build haha. But yeah with that life I’d say some changes are in order, damage isn’t everything.

E it’s got to be unoaked life for sure.... but still haha

Id have to do some math, but my guess is that +20 dex and less str req on a dragon shield sanctuary would save stats for max block that could be pumped into vitality. Then you get an extra 20-25 res all stack (and sm charges if you want to be bm). The loss of life rep is prob irrelevant on this build since he doesnt have much evasion like a sorc or paladin wpuld (i.e. low l8z potential).

Edit. Just did quick math.

Gerkes requires 229 stats (114 str + 115 dex for mb)
Dragon shield sanctuary needs 233 stats (142 dex, 91 str)

Using a dragon shield would result in slightly lower health but you gain res stack and 20 fhr (maybe giving yoyr build flexibility elsewhere). You also will run faster and have the potential to str glitch aldurs boots (or those sweet scarabshells you already have)

I also wonder if you should just use string of ears and a shaftstop. Bowas are nasty at lvl 49..

You should have it as a swap setup for sure for tvt and for vs barbs, amas and palas.

I wasn’t trying to say gerkes is bis, I wouldn’t even use t at all on any build lol, it was more just a comment about his life.

Also I’ll mention that I already know people use gerkes on immortal es pvm sorcs haha just before someone comes in with an akshually
