Looking to buy a new headset this weekend, my cousin and few others mentioned the sennheiser hd 599 se. Anyone have thoughts and experiences with these? Should I get a mix amp?

HD599 is solid choice.

I use the razer tiamat v2 with the asus xonar ae sound card.

Don't know if there are any sales on either but the directional sound is extremely precise and the sound quality is amazing.

Would stay away from Razer cans.

Sennheiser over ear ones are amazing. Here's what I'm currently using and they are by far the best quality I've ever experienced and I've gone through a decent amount of headsets in the past 10 years or so.
