Ok so my daughter told me about chrome books they use it at school and they have a login and password she turns on the laptop and she logs in to her account and all her info is there , so is this just a regular chrome book laptop ? Or is this some kind of program ? Reason being she’s asking for a for one for Christmas but I’m not sure what she is talking about if anyone could help would be great thanks !!

Chrome books are re-branded/locked down netbooks. When you say her info you need to be more clear.
(just google login? if so they have her data and will always have her data when she logs in anywhere)
Most schools in the TDSB now use chrome books for education but they get wiped at the end of the term.
They make for good learning tools but not so great for laptops as it only runs google apps through its OS.
If you wanted something better for long term aim a step higher at a notebook.

Her info is account login : password and the account is numbers with some letters ending in sb:me ... yeah I’m not sure I’m lost she just keep saying she wants a chrome book she’s 9 I don’t want to buy her anything to fancy . But ya I’m just confused because she said all the kids have different accounts they just turn them on and a login pops up they type in info and all their stuff / apps are there saved I did try to google but I’m not seeing much about anything

I personally haven't played with a Chromebook since they released.
According to my daughter which used them in School years ago...
They use TDSB accounts which would be school software.
She says you can log into it from any pc.

oh ok thanks for info! would she happend to know to find the where abouts to login? she says when she loggs in theirs apps like google classroom , prodigy , abc wa etc
