Hello guys.
I have 2 lets say "not brand new" laptops:
1st had windows 7 (still have product key on it), but i updated it to windows 10 and it is added to MS account.
2nd had windows 8.1 (no product key available i think), also updated to windows 10 and added to MS account.

I assume both are legit as they were preinstalled on computers i bougth.

And now questions:
1) Is it possible to transfer license from one of them if i buy completely new computer w/o windows? If yes - then how?
2) In case i would like to upgrade SDD (more space for example) how can i transfer licence in such case?

I red threw internet and windows activation can be done by pointing licence on MS account - but will it work for the same computer only or if i try to transfer licence to another one aswell?

Help appreciated :)
Legit ways only please.

yes it will work on a new computer as well.

I also obtained a copy of windows 10 64bit english ISO from the microsoft website during the weekend in September that they were giving it away for free if you need a copy. It doesn't require a product code. The only difference between it and the paid version is you can't upgrade it (can't get office tools). It still updates and works perfectly though.

It won't always work despite what he claims, they key generally ties to the mobo when its an OEM key.

you could also try to read your license key with lansweeper.

it's a freeware to inventorize

Technically if you have an old win7sp1 disc thats got a "legit" license, you can still force the win10 free upgrade. You just have to manually update it and it will install the win10 installer eventually. Run it offline. And now you have free win10 in 2019 lol. Once you go online it legitimizes the license. This works for all versions too so pro will become pro ultimate upgrades to ultimate.

Theres only certian updates you need on win7 to make it happen you can save time if you look the ones you need up and skip the rest of the updates.
