Why can't they just make D2 Remastered with better graphics, more acts, more weapons and patch bugs with no botting?

If they're going to change/add all that why not write a new story and call it diablo 4? I'd feel better about paying $60 for a brand new game than remastered version of a game I've been playing for 20 years and can still play right now.

I mean 4-5 additional new acts after Baal would be dope... I would want the full d2 game it’s just so godly. It should be based around d2 just improved graphics, yes an additional storyline.
I think runes should stay the same, but additional runewords should be added. Just a d2 2019 edition on steroids.

I don't understand why people are so crazy about runewords either they were originally created as a form of transmog in that you could make nice unique-like items out of practically any socketed item that you wanted (so your character could look the way you want) it was a neat idea and there's plenty of nostalgia in runewords but any effect could have been on a unique item just the same, and with the transmog feature added in d3 I'd say runewords are obsolete.

I agree. I'm way more on the side of no transmog and have to find runes to make runewords though.

If you’re just chasing acts, play path of exile, they just announced poe2 so there’s 14 more acts. The game is fantastic and created by the creators of d2.
