I'm pretty sure most teams do everything in their power to try and keep their star. They don't just move on so quickly like you're saying they should have done.
The plan for 3-4 years+, was always AD. No Kyrie, absolutely no chance of keeping AD. I am sure you just ignore this.
Also, please inform me how many teams that were trying to win a title, traded their star player mid-season for a bag of balls? Curious.
Also, a nice regular-season team would be the Bucks 2018-2019
You posted so many stats about just how amazing they were compared to other historic NBA teams...and it led to??? Nothing.
The Celtics 2019-2020 are nothing more than "performing because of the lack of expectation"....so not really a nice regular-season team. We are like the Patriots.
The 2019-20 Celtics are
NOTHING like the Patriots, because they won't win anything that matters.
The Bucks were OT away from being up 3-0 on the eventual NBA Champions. You're delusional if you think the Bucks would have lost in a series to only Curry and Draymond with Klay and Durant injured.
Honestly the Bucks were closer to winning an NBA title at this stage w/ Giannis than LeBron was with Cleveland. LeBron and the Cavs got humiliated by the Spurs, and lets not act like this Bucks roster is that much better by comparison of conferences. It really came down to free throw margins between Giannis and Kawhi, Kawhi hit his when it mattered.
The 2018-19 Celtics on the other hand, got absolutely dominated by the 2018-19 Bucks. There is no reason to believe they would have beaten Toronto or a gimped Golden State
