Kyrie walked for nothing, so if it was identifiable that Kyrie was a disgusting teammate then obviously getting value out of him in a trade was the right move. I'm sure the Celtics could have landed a very nice prospect for Kyrie and an expiring contract to match salary, then signed Kemba or whoever in FA
The difference between the 2018-19 Celtics and the 2019-20 Celtics is the lack of expectations. They feel comfortable in that underdog role but at the end of the day the Celtics don't have the horses to be a real threat in the East. Nice reg season team tho
I'm pretty sure most teams do everything in their power to try and keep their star. They don't just move on so quickly like you're saying they should have done.
The plan for 3-4 years+, was always AD. No Kyrie, absolutely no chance of keeping AD. I am sure you just ignore this.
Also, please inform me how many teams that were trying to win a title, traded their star player mid-season for a bag of balls? Curious.
Also, a nice regular-season team would be the Bucks 2018-2019
You posted so many stats about just how amazing they were compared to other historic NBA teams...and it led to??? Nothing.
The Celtics 2019-2020 are nothing more than "performing because of the lack of expectation"....so not really a nice regular-season team. We are like the Patriots.
