I'm not kidding myself...you're being blinded by your obsession with the Celtics...probably started with the Patriots.

I like your "if" point. I won't talk about "if" though.

Outside of a Kawhi rental(which I believe most Boston fans would totally be against), no move was putting us ahead of the Warriors....you think more highly of the Celtics than I do at times...I like it.

What exactly am I blinded from? You don’t even make a clear point as to what I’m blinded from seeing. Pretty clear to everyone that Kawhi could have brought Boston a title, you’re deluding yourself to think otherwise

The point is pretty clear imo...you're obsessed with the Celtics. That's going to prevent you from engaging in any serious Celtics conversations.
All your Celtics convos end like this for a reason....and it's not us.

Yes, Kawhi could have brought the Celtics a title if we played the handicapped Warriors squad too.
But once again, Kawhi wouldn't be needed against the Warriors wheelchair squad.....unfortunately, there is no teammate worse than Kyrie Irving.

You're saying that the same Celtics who got 4-1'd by the Bucks would beat the Warriors? Probably not but try again

Did you miss the part where Kyrie is a disgusting teammate? Therefore, you can hopefully assume that the Celtics last year never reached their actual potential...
At least after watching some of this year, I hope that is the case.

Kyrie walked for nothing, so if it was identifiable that Kyrie was a disgusting teammate then obviously getting value out of him in a trade was the right move. I'm sure the Celtics could have landed a very nice prospect for Kyrie and an expiring contract to match salary, then signed Kemba or whoever in FA

The difference between the 2018-19 Celtics and the 2019-20 Celtics is the lack of expectations. They feel comfortable in that underdog role but at the end of the day the Celtics don't have the horses to be a real threat in the East. Nice reg season team tho

I'm pretty sure most teams do everything in their power to try and keep their star. They don't just move on so quickly like you're saying they should have done.
The plan for 3-4 years+, was always AD. No Kyrie, absolutely no chance of keeping AD. I am sure you just ignore this.

Also, please inform me how many teams that were trying to win a title, traded their star player mid-season for a bag of balls? Curious.

Also, a nice regular-season team would be the Bucks 2018-2019
You posted so many stats about just how amazing they were compared to other historic NBA teams...and it led to??? Nothing.

The Celtics 2019-2020 are nothing more than "performing because of the lack of expectation"....so not really a nice regular-season team. We are like the Patriots.
