tire noob here, not looking for cheap tires, but not trying to spend a fortune. is there any brands or recommendations?? (what makes them good compared to others??)
need all 4 new, intended use for mainly only daily driver
really just need some guidance to the right direction!!
You want thinner width not wider, and preferably if you can run 14's with same overall height so thicker on the height.
I know it seems counter intuitive, but think skiis vs skates.
Wider tires displaces more weight accross the tire, carving less into the snow and sliding more like skiis.
Thinner tires focus more of the weight like skates on a smaller surface area allowing you to carve through snow.
The overall height is super important for your odometer. Runnning 14's with thicker tire height is considered better over all but not necessary.
Just avoid low wide/low profile tires, those are not made for winter.

I thought you were asking about winter tires!
