I know the graphics are out dated but Dueling & ownin people in PK games never gets old.. the only thing D2 is missing is end-game content for solo/multi players, like maps & delve in POE.. i still love the loot design for D2.. u dont find GG gears so easy.. & the satisfaction of finding Ethereal Cruels & fools mods.. self rep eth items /w godly stats is unmatched.. still got some legit cruels & 08s gears from classic D2.. if they implement a better end game i would definitely go to back to grindin with my builds.. the game is just too easy in hell mode.. they need to add more acts or higher difficulties.. but D2 is still 1 of my fave games.. golden eye on N64 was also fun

sorry, playing with 200ms internal lag is no fun (and you can blame Blizzard NORTH.)

D2 isnt as laggy now unlike b efore wen they had those spam bots that would cover up the wholesreen when ur playin.. POE lags more

no real pvp keeps me from playing poe longer than the 1st week of resets.

Path of Exile cant even compare to d2. D2 was good back then becouse it was nothing else. Do I need to remind you guys that back then we competed with bots and people who bought runes for real money and we had no chance? DO I need to remind you how bad it was to get killed in pvp by idiots who invested real money into characters? And then there were dupes... perfect items made to just destroy every other character in pvp.

D2 was a decent game but you cannot simply compare that with the complexity and diversity of path of exile. Actually there is no game in the present day that can do. Poe has some problems too but is way damn better then d2.

but those problems were easily manageable ! on ladder start bots had no chance against an actual player, so you would just get a few k fgs in the first few days, and that would be enough to fully gear a pvp char later, thanks to those same bots which lowered the prices also in pvp it didnt matter if someone had a fully pimped char, as an experienced player would always win with something that cant be absorbed (good choices were nec, hdin, DuDu etc). i would slap an eternity on a hdin or even a sorc, get those magic immune kurast bazaar yetis, and then proceed to literally tank any cheater (95% of the time those were tmc/aa hdins) while shittalking to them, and in 10 years of d2, it hasnt happened to me ONCE that they realize they can simply smite me out of the revives, which for someone who can duel would be a no brainer

cheaters in poe would be much more of a problem because items matter much more than skill, but there are no cheaters because no one gives a shit about poe duels in the first place in order to lose money to cheat
