Without a doubt. Having a good healthy routine actually just kinda makes me enjoy life more.

Plus, without a routine/planned diet, it will be difficult as hell to stick with it.

It's infinitely easier when you don't have to think about it because it's already all been thought out.

I've also enjoyed adding cardio again, I used to never do it at some points, but personally, I think just lifting weights isnt that fun, or interesting, at least to me it isn't.

But being healthy is important to me, so trying to help break it up is great. Plus, I feel so much physically and mentally better after a good winded cardio session.

Yeah man! The cardio part has never been my cup of tea. I use to substitute that for pickup basketball games in college but my current gym doesn’t have a court :(

But 100% agree with importance of routine and discipline

Gonna be honest.

The biggest issue for me, is not going to the gym. I've been doing that for +10 years, breaking balls, and strength training.

The biggest issue is eating 100% clean, and healthy. It just feels like it's a complete waste of time.

I admire people keeping up with being strict about their diets, and enjoying it. (After the first 3 months of new energy that people have when starting out).

You ever try myfitnesspal to track macros? I enjoy it because it allows me to eat whatever the fuck I want typically for lunch as long as I load up on cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and milk smoothies + white fish, rice, and veggies for dinner to cut into my fat intake from earlier during the day.

Don’t knock the smoothie until you try it

Yeah absolutely. I've done it all I think. Tracking my macros completely. Tracking calories. Eating big, simply. Trying the rice and chicken 3 times a day.

It just gets to me. I don't ENJOY being hard on my diet. I know what to eat, but I just think I don't care enough to eat 100% clean.

Yeah definitely. I know what you mean, it does help keep the groove going on when you're surrounded by physically active people and have physical activities planned out to look forward to, especially competitive activities.

I'm actually looking at signing up for some 5k's. I know it's not a far distance or anything (a lot of people could probably do it with no preparation), but it seems like a good way to keep active and have something to look forward to while I'm doing some other running in my free time.

Most of them are just complete social events anyways, like Brewery runs. I think it would maybe be kinda fun, and I could likely talk some of my friends into it, even the ones who have less interest in physical health. Would be a good time. Combine that with a fun planned evening, maybe binge out at a new restaurant as well. Lol.

They say your diet is 70%, hard work 30%. You’ll be surprised by how much you can change your body comp by counting your macros

It’s unbelievable. I did macros back in ‘13, was in amazing shape, then stopped until this September. The change over the past 3 months is ridiculous.

Yeah the rate at your body comp changes when you stop tracking is insane. No matter how heavy or hard you lift, without tracking, youll never look as good.... tracking is not a pain. meal prepping is.........
