Amazon received a 129 million dollar tax rebate from the federal government. In short, Amazon pays no corporate taxes because it reinvests its revenue into R&D, property, plant, and equipment. Those things give Amazon tax credits. I forgot to mention employee stock compensation as an alternative to cash gives them yet another tax credit.

They deserved it.

I need to end this typo'd quote chain by responding to you EndlessSky. Amazon is in compliance with tax law, but in my personal opinion it is unethical that an ultra millionaire business such as Amazon is able to "tax credit" all of its revenue into paying 0 federal taxes by simply reinvesting in itself. Why doesn't everyone in the United States simply tax credit away all of their federal and state income taxes? What money will the government be able to budget outside of sales taxes and property taxes?
