approximately how many servers are there? I've had an unperm, not permed for a couple months now. I woulda thought it woulda disappeared by now?

I think Eu got about 60 servers.

I've still got many unperm items left that I bought 5 years ago, it doesn't mean they're perm.

I know it doesn’t mean that, but you would think playing for 2 months, many many hours of leaving and entering games that you would have came across a server with the same dupe

you would think it would happen a lot sooner. 60 servers isn't many. it's a 1/60 chance every time (if someone is online with a dupe, I think a lot of people have a dupe probably). if it doesn't happen in 5 years and you've beat the 1/60 chance over a million times that's nuts

You need to play d2 daily for a lifetime to reach over a million games, or do you suggest people equip bots with dupes?

Many people have dupes but not many use them casually nowadays so there's quite a slim chance that someone actually joins your server with the same duped item with the same ID and also leaves before you.

Just had an unperm pair of wraith brands on west poof after pub baaling for 6 months. Sometimes It takes a while but it eventually happens.

Back starting probably about 2009 I used a glitched 6os eth zerker on my druid for about 2 years before it poofed.

It has nothing to do with the length of time you go without an item poofing. The chances of an item poofing have more to do with your playing habits than the time since you bought the item. Playing at peak hours = higher chance someone pops up with the same id. Playing in PvP games = slightly higher chance of clashing with a similar id. Switching games very quickly = lower chance of clashing with the same id.

Besides, the player base is tiny now so it's less likely that people with your item are online in your server at the same time.
