Youre 25 - if you have your head screwed on - e.g. you're not waste the money on cars, alcohol, sex etc.. then I would say go the 100k. If you've been offered this job it shows that you've got the backing of people. They believe you're going to be able to meet the minimum expectation of your job description.

Take the challenge, take the 100k and start setting yourself up for life. Cause depending on where you live - 50k isn't much.

I took the 100k job because that's how I roll plus I'm in my twenties. The stress of the job will probably sear your eyeballs.

If you're looking for stability, go for the 50k plus overtime.

Depends on your goals. For example with more money in the future you can have more investment opportunities. However if you truly would enjoy the 50k year job then that's what makes sense. Plus if it is a government position I'd be surprised if you had no way to advance up from it, should you choose to.

Quote (Underneath @ Oct 18 2019 02:41pm)
I have the opportunity to pick between these 2 choices right now, and I would like to hear some opinions.

$100K job will likely be M-F from 5am-2 or 3pm, with working one saturday a month for 6 hours. Good career advancement opportunities. Don't get paid overtime for any overtime hours I work.
$50K job will be T-F for 10 hrs per day 7am-6pm, 3 day weekends every week. Get paid overtime if I have to work overtime.

I worked in the stressful job before, so I'm heavily leaning towards the more chill job, but this time I'm being offered a big salary that I can't simply just say no to. That's why I have to reconsider and weigh my options.

Thanks

I got a better pitch for ya.

Pick either one, and give the other option to me.

I could use $50k or 100k.
