I downloaded a program that said it would reset the pw but apparently they now want you to pay to reset the pw.. so i was able to make a user with the program and got into the laptop but now i need to take over admin rights.

Any help appreciated, need to reset the admin pw so i can delete extra stuff not needed

Uninstall that program. Sounds like some serious scamware.

Name of program?
Source of information?
What password are you trying to reset?
Any other actual useful information you can think of? telling us something doesn't work and wants money sounds as far away from something anyone but Indian (dots) scammers would recommend.

My apologies its from isumsoft windows password refixer you download the program and burn it to a usb drive and then boot the pc from the drive and you reset the admin password to get in the computer. Not the bios password just the admin password

Dont think i can post the link here or i would, i got the laptop from a friend they didnt know the password so im just trying to see if i can get in it. The program used allowed me to make a user and everything works fine but they have it set to prompt admin pw for installing or delete anything.

I am looking into them, but any links you could send my way would be cool i see a few different sites for them want to make sure im in the right spot. Also it shows they have a numerous amount of programs to choose from within the linux software, i read about one that may help me but can not find much more about it
