I don't care about Russia sending troops to Syria as much as i care about the US sending troops somewhere. I don't live in Russia, i live in America. I don't pay taxes in Russia i pay taxes in America. The US wasting money on wars impacts me negatively, Russia spending money on wars doesn't impact me much. It sucks for the average Russian who sees a ton of internal issues yet their gov't is sending troops and weapons to foreign lands but that's their problem not mine. So why would i be critical of them sending troops there and wasting their resources? That's w.e. to me. On the other hand the US is my home, i'm building a life here, my kids will grow up here, so i will be critical of things that i see as negatively impacting that.

You keep jumping from one non-interventionist justification to another to try to avoid confronting your inconsistency. If the US shouldn't be over in the Middle East telling people what to do(as you say), neither should Russia. That would be the consistent position. But you're falling back on "it's not my money so who cares derp".

There's nothing inconsistent about my position. I care about the country i live and what it does. If you only cared about money and our soldiers lives instead of optics maybe we'd see eye to eye more.

6 trillion. Keep ignoring that number. We could have upgraded our infrastructure, we could have provided minimal preventative healthcare for years with that money. 10s of millions of American lives could have benefited, instead Icemage cares about a desert base in the middle of nowhere because muh Russia

I don't think the presence of some soldiers was a big deal regarding the 50k$ toilets seats problematic in Pentagon.
The big winners are Russia & Assad, and even Turkey, all these great leaders Trump loves so much.

Info: Istanbul Trump Towers are safe; Erdogan changed hi behavior since 2016 (he was very critical at this time, even asking for their removal...)

Obama would be impeached for this.

No, he wouldn't.

what percentage of that is syria, and what percentage are all the other conflicts that trump not only happily prolonged american troop presence in, but even escalated tensions, resulting in MORE troops being sent there?

that's like throwing away the lettuce from your burger, claiming you're just 'principled in your commitment to reduce your calorie intake', while at the same time adding a layer of melted cheese...

I would rather be there than Camp Monteith in Kosovo. That place sucked.

Camp Bondsteel <3 that place had the best dining facilities

We brought the best dining facilities with us everywhere we went. 3 squares a day plus midrats. Hot food, every meal.
