I mean at the end of the day would you guys speak up for people in hong kong if it meant losing out on millions if not billions of future earnings? Be honest, you selfish bastards would do the same thing.
Sit there and say you would. If you were in his position, would you speak up for Hong Kong and lose out on all that money from 1.4 billion people in China? I mean that's not just a few million we're talking about...
LeBron was just better off not speaking at all about it, period.
Tbh, if I had hundreds of millions already, I would want to become a billionaire while maintaining my integrity not by jeopardizing my own self worth. I mean, it’s kind of like being able to do shady business deals or black market to gain wealth, or even some industries that directly exploit evil things in us, yeah you can get rich that way but the way you get there is important. Can I look at myself in the mirror and say, “money has not changed me or made me be ashamed of what I’ve had to do or say.”
Like you said tho, most people who are nowhere near as rich as Lebron would do it in a heart beat and most people who are as rich as Lebron and richer are doing it. I think a good chunk of people would not.
