About 100k miles
What needs to be done?

I know the serpentine belt and the timing belt are due a change

What would you guys recommend to check out that I might have overlooked

I have flushed and drained/bleed all the fluids but the trans and oil so far. (Not flushing those)

Lmk if you need any details. Or have any suggestions (:

They seemed just fine ( moving it in the driveway for a better working spot) and when I took the wheel off seemed to be plenty of pad left.. I'm sure it could use some attention but nothing felt off or was noticibly wrong

Is there something specific I should check?

Does it turn on?

If so, cruise a bit in it and even take it to a closed off parking lot or area and push it.

When I got my EM2,
(2003 version of your car but much less power/torque about 30 I think),
I just did some laps in a lot and noticed my car started overheating, so I got it diagnosed and it had a bad water pump and radiator temperature thermostat.
Essentially my car's cooling system was failing in 2 areas.

Just do a full tune up bro.
Spark plugs, ignition coils, water pump, alternator, belts, radiator thermostat(yours will probably fail)

Look for oil leaks, valve gaskets and head gaskets might need replacing as well.

For cranking issues I've seen people blowing brake cleaner/carburetor cleaner into the air intake manifold to help ignite a spark in the combustion chamber.

it was stored with a FULL tank of gas and ran for 5-10 minutes every 3-5 months. (it was not DRIVEN, just idle)

it turns on just fine, maybe some minor seepage from the old valve cover gasket that i should replace.

i just recently flushed the radiator like 6 times with the heater on full blast to rinse out the heater core aswell, after draining it 6 times with distilled water i filled it up with 50/50 mix and ran it, then topped it full again.
i probably should definitely replace the thermostat... i dont know much about the status of the water pump.

no cranking issues, oil looks fine, just old n ready for new.


i noticed some rubber boot of some sort that was apart of turning the wheel (idk what its called or the piece) was kind of torn and looked oily,
i dont know what its purpose is but looks like things like that need repair...? will get someone that knows more to look at it.. and also a little oil on the wishbone

Yeah sounds like you stored it very good.
I really do not see any problems you will run into.


If anything I'd just change the timing belt just to be safe and call it a day.
