been trying to fix the problem for a while now but reinstalling multiple times and locating and deleting all game files i may have anywhere in my hard drive.
basically no matter what i do i cannot take screenshots using PRT SC key.

is there a way to fix?
or any preferred legal 3rd party programs i can use to take screenshots of d2?

Probably silly question but you are playing in windowed mode?

Screen shots never worked for me full screen. Have play in window mode

are you running d2 as admin? diablo needs access to. Otherwise you can do ctrl+v in paint to see screenshot

i had this issue like 10-15 years ago, black screens s/s. dno why but it works now, can ofc be the run this program as admin which is not used. can also be that u need to put compatiblity mode anf let Windows choose the best one via test function there.

I use Greenshot to automatically save each screenshot as a jpg, then IfranView to crop and rename. Both free programs.

I play in windowed mode on Win 7.

Alot of time I've spent attacking this problem, going as far as completly flashing my hard drive and installing Windows 10 for the first time. (Not just for diablo of course) all in all I've tried every single thing outside of a third party program until..

This guy.. though green shot still did not fix the problem completly, it showed me exactly what was happening.

Simple answer is. Before the switch to win 10 and even after, i must have had a program already taking priority over my print screen key. Went into green shot, changed hot key. Everything is ready to start.

I cannot wait to join you all on this epic conquest as i fight through the hordes to defeat hell bael for the first time in my life (alone single player).
