There have been a few times where I've been posting in a busy thread or come late to a thread with a number of pages and I would like to follow a particular conversation, but in order to do so I have to sort through a number of irrelevant posts to find the previous post in the conversation. Adding this feature would cut out the time spent parsing through posts that don't matter. You could simply click a hyperlink in the quote (see image) and it would take you to that particular post in the thread.

Letting the quote take you to the source is something that would of been nice.

Absolutely. Had this situation many times myself. Would be great to jump to the original quote in longer threads

i'm not sure this can be done.
we have the ability to create and/or edit quotes using simple chat code. i think quotes would have to be more "set in stone", to use a lazy analogy.

i'm going to edit OP's quote for example:

yes it would probably require recoding a good chunk of the quote function. i'm not a programmer by any means so i don't really know all that would have to go into it, just thought that it would make some things easier. if it is too difficult to make it worthwhile then it obviously won't be done, but just thought i would toss the idea out there
