2019 Hearthstone Grandmasters Official Competition Rules section 6.1 (o) in its decision:
Engaging in any act that, in Blizzard’s sole discretion, brings you into public disrepute, offends a portion or group of the public, or otherwise damages Blizzard image will result in removal from Grandmasters and reduction of the player’s prize total to $0 USD, in addition to other remedies which may be provided for under the Handbook and Blizzard’s Website Terms.

Blizzard did the right thing, he just being stupid for bring it politic to gaming, "offends a portion or group of the public", his actions will offends mainland china!!

business is business. If you are CEO of Blizzard Acti with all of the pressure from shareholders, you would do the same. To be realistic, did that player violated this statement? "offends a portion or group of the public", if he did, he deserves a punishment, if not blizzard is doing it wrongfully.

Secondly, the part you quote is a very small part of that rule section they used. If you take that on it's own then you couldn't even eat a hamburger at a heartstone event because it might offend the people who are vegetarians.

Do you get it, EARTH IS FLAT in 2019, blizzard is an American company owed partial by Chinese investor!! nothing is absolute, they made the best choice they can choose from, you will see after few weeks people who boycott will back to their games again.
