I just came across with the Imgur API that can be found here:
https://apidocs.imgur.com/?version=latestThe idea is pretty simple and efficient. Make use of Imgur's API and add a new button that allows users to directly
upload images within d2jsp.
This should be implemented because as the things are currently set, one needs to open a new tab, visit an image-host site, upload image there, copy link, come back here, copy-paste image-link in topic, paste
Code
[IMG] [/IMG]
tags, done.
This is unnecessarily complicated and seems pretty outdated as well. But with that API, users would be able to upload images within a few seconds
just by clicking that button, selecting their image from computer, done.
The new button can look like that and it should be obvious that the up-arrow means upload (image):
Added here to the other symbols:
(I haven't removed the old image-button because I think it would be a bad move to force users using this and only this image-sharing service.
Users should still be able to upload images the old way, but also this new way.)
Once you pressed the button, a small window pops up that could look like that, for example:
If the image has been chosen, a link will be generated (imgur), and the required image-tags will be automatically added to it, such that
you have a visible picture.
