I think this gen has had some great titles overall, I can agree I haven’t like the way the gaming industry has been moving though. All these microtrans or DLCs for games have definitely made it less appealing

Microtransactions are purely cosmetic for 98% of games and it is entirely optional to buy them

Dlcs are just more content being added to already complete games 98% of the time. You’d rather just have a game the same size but with no additional content ever? Smart

Lol chill tf out. And no there have been plenty of shooters where it’s not cosmetic (downfall of cod/ Bf, SWBF)

And DLCs have become an excuse for major devs to push games way too soon and just fix shit later as the game goes on (FFXV, No mans sky, FFXIV, Soon to be anthem, Wildlands, Destiny, ESO, can keep going)

You are basing your opinion on the entire gaming industry on only the worst games that have come out recently. As I said, find something sensible to complain about

Also destiny was a complete game upon release (only one of those I’ve played) so it’s funny that you’re using it as an example of content being held back for dlcs

Start of the convo said there has been great releases... never anywhere did I say the entire industry. A lot of AAA devs have been moving that route and haven’t enjoyed the ones that did. Find something else to whine about.

And destiny played like trash until DLCs cleaned it up.

i just dont play my ps4 i guess cuz im pc gaming but my ps4 has been mostly used for twitch/youtube streaming vs gaming
there was some good games but nothing near the ps3 library imo those games called to me these games its like i cant get around to finishing them
not a fan of ps+ sub some of the "free games"were good but honestly never played them id rather save $50 a year or put it on a game i want

sony is just moving in the wrong direction imo then developers are moving in the wrong direction console gaming in general is moving in the wrong direction
like sony having cod rights... thats bad why spend money to get cod shit a week early? thats such a waste that $$ could be put into something useful
