China is upset about the tariffs, and about Hong Kong. None of this crap China is attempting will last very long or hurt that much... in the US.

I was wrong, what you need isnt a prisoner heart or liver, it's a brain.

This sort of behaviour predates capitalism as an ideology, so the only way to make this argument work is to take such a broad view of capitalism that the term is meaningless.

Humans are materialistic, they like it when they benefit financially / socially, and they'll cave to pressure when those things are threatened.

Aside from exposing contemporary left wing corporate activism as a sham, the lesson here is that communism leads to state oppression and genocide. The Soviets did it, the Cambodians did it, the Chinese have and are doing it. Only so many tines before you call it a trend.
