i'm probably going to buy a dodge ram 2019,
but i only need the comfort of it because i'm tall asf
and i just saw they are doing 3.6L and 5.7L engines

i was wondering since i'm only using it for everday drive and not tow anything
is it more worth it to take the 3.6L or they are trash ?

dont know anything about dodge, but i do know the f150s ecoboost is nice, i would actually own one of those.

chevys had the 6 cyl in their line up also, the 4.3L and they put it in alot of work/job site trucks

i personally wouldnt buy a 6cly but, go drive it and see what you think

i work on dodges everyday of the week Monday - Friday.

Police mech,

the dodge 3.6 isnt going to save you much in $$ in gas wise. the 3.6 is a good engine until you forget to do an oil change or beat on it at all. just changed a few cam followers on two dodge chargers. you will be doing followers in about 30k miles and then again at 60 and so on and so on. Now i do own a 5.9 v8 dodge ram 2002, and this is coming from my opinion. The get up and go 3.6 vs the 5.7 hemi is going to be great. the 5.7 that we have walk all over the 3.6 and the maintenance on the 5.7 is far less than the 3.6. the 5.7 can take abuse and keep going. if your going to be doing a lot of driving and stop and go i would still go with the hemi as they hold up better overall vs the 3.6. and the hemi's are easy to work on.

Because we actually use it to tow shit every single day.

But you'll be using it just for fun of having a truck. He'll last 10 years

if you take care of the truck it will last for years. i will say get it undercoated, or you will be rusting in about 4-5 years when you pay it off. my 02 has 172k on it and my wheel wheels are rusting pretty good. they was not undercoated before i got it. now i have fixed and coated mine and it should last around 3-5 years. also look into getting a transmission cooler added onto it. that is if you are going to be hauling long and heavy loads.
